WWF acknowledges both the dynamic position of the corporate world in human societies and its material environmental footprint, as well as its potential to contribute substantially to sustainable development. Both locally and internationally, WWF engages in dialogue with corporations and develops relationships based upon the principles of mutual respect, transparency, and WWF's right to constructively criticise and publicly disagree, if deemed necessary.

Each partnership is unique and planning poses a challenge to both sides. The criteria for collaboration are primarily environmental and ethical. WWF and the corporate partner will not agree on all things all the time, and therefore agreeing to disagree in the context of a transparent framework has been a key factor in sustaining relationships that are beneficial to both parties.

From long term funding of conservation projects, to sponsorship of events, gifts in kind and cause-related marketing and communications programs, we provide a range of mutually beneficial opportunities.
